Una, December 8:- In accordance with the recent guidelines issued by District Magistrate Una Jatin Lal, ISBT Una has also now implemented a parking fee system starting from Rs. Municipal Corporation Commissioner and ADC Mahendra Pal Gurjar said that Una Municipal Corporation has set a uniform starting rate of Rs 10 at all its parking lots for the first half hour. In keeping with this policy, the ISBT management has also decided to implement new rates at the bus stand and the adjoining commercial complex.
Under the new system, a minimum fee of Rs 10 will be charged for all vehicles for the first half hour even in ISBT Una premises. This will provide relief to passengers and common citizens and the parking system will become more organized and transparent.
It is significant that ISBT Una operates on BOT model and this minimum fare structure has been implemented with the objective of providing convenience to the passengers despite the periodic increase in operation and maintenance expenses.
As per the proposal of ISBT management, the charges have been fixed according to the category of vehicles and the parking period after a uniform charge in the first half hour. For parking up to three hours, the two-wheeler will be charged Rs 15, three-wheeler Rs 25 and four-wheeler Rs 50. For parking for three to nine hours, the fee for two-wheeler will be Rs. 25, three-wheeler will be Rs. 35 and four-wheeler will be Rs. 70. 
Parking for nine to 12 hours has been fixed at Rs 30 for two-wheelers, Rs 45 for three-wheelers and Rs 80 for four-wheelers, while parking for 12 to 24 hours has been fixed at Rs 40 for two-wheelers, Rs 55 for three-wheelers and Rs 100 for four-wheelers.
The ISBT management says that the new fee system will provide more transparent, safe and public parking facility to the passengers and the traffic discipline in the premises will also be strengthened.
