Hoshiarpur:- The State Election Commission has appointed senior officers to ensure that the Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur Elections-2026 are completed in a free, fair and peaceful manner. The Commission has appointed IAS Officer Dr. Senu Duggal as Election Observer and IPS Officer Gurpreet Singh as Police Observer.
As the Election Observer, Dr. Senu Duggal will monitor the election process as well as keep an eye on the election related arrangements and take cognizance of complaints and other matters related to the elections. Similarly, as a police observer, Gurpreet Singh will monitor the law and order and security arrangements during the elections. Apart from this, he will also be responsible for continuous monitoring of the police order and security arrangements with the aim of ensuring free, fair and peaceful elections.
