Ratia, 10 October (Advocate Gurpreet Singh Mander):- The Ratia branch of the Human Helping Hearts Association organised a large medical check-up camp at Green Valley Convent School in the nearby village of Nangal Dhani today. Addressing the children and parents present at the camp, the association’s national president, Advocate Ashok Chopra, said that the school management’s initiative for the health of children was highly commendable. He said that regular health check-ups during childhood could help prevent serious diseases. Speaking about the social welfare activities undertaken by the association from time to time, he said that the organisation was working for social welfare across India as well as in countries such as Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Anju Mehta, president of the association’s women’s wing in Haryana, appealed to women to join the organisation in greater numbers and contribute to humanitarian welfare activities, thereby making their lives more meaningful.
The health of approximately 400 students and parents was examined at the camp. They were given appropriate medical advice, along with essential medicines free of cost.
The camp was attended by orthopaedic specialist Dr. Sabina Jain, gynaecology and dermatology specialist Dr. Harsimran Kaur Thind, and dental specialist Dr. Shekhawat Sardana, who provided their services and also made the children aware of the importance of maintaining good health. Ratia branch president Krishan Suneja, Jeevan Raheja, Deepak Mittal, Ravi Kumar and Varun Arora, along with members of the school staff and management, were also present.
