Chandigarh, August 20:- PM Gatishakti National Master Plan is being used on a large scale to make planning and implementation of infrastructure projects faster and more effective in Haryana.
A review meeting held here under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi informed that the number of projects identified, fixed or completed through PM Gatishakti has increased from 9 in April to 34 in August.
The Chief Secretary also released the ‘Compendium of Use Cases of PM Gatishakti in Haryana’ in the meeting. He directed the officers to make maximum use of this platform in planning projects and complete the pending data integration at the earliest.
Dr. Amit Kumar Agarwal, Commissioner and Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, informed that PM Haryana is at the first position among the states in the country in terms of providing access to the officers on the Gatishakti State Master Plan Portal. So far, more than 720 officers have been connected to the portal and 944 officers have been trained through 244 capacity building sessions.
PM Gatishakti’s GIS based tools have also significantly accelerated the site assessment process of projects. The site assessment time for the proposed District Civil Hospital in Hisar and the proposed bus terminal in Matlauda, ??Panipat has been reduced from around 40-45 days to just 1-2 days. In the Vastukla Department, this time has also been reduced from 33-39 days to 1-2 days.
The Irrigation Department also used this platform to identify illegal encroachments on the properties of various departments along the Hisar-Ghaggar Drain. This reduced the processing time from about 45 days to 1-2 days and about 95% data was found correct in ground verification.
For planning of industrial infrastructure, HSIIDC has developed a GIS based tool integrating information from various sectors including goods, roads, rail, forest, irrigation, power and connectivity. It is being used in planning of industrial model townships in Rewari, Jind, Faridabad, Ambala, Rai of Sonipat and Saral and Narayangarh.
In Nuh, GIS based analysis of accessibility of primary health centres through PM Gati Shakti has been done. This has helped in identifying the needy areas based on population, geographical location and accessibility of health facilities.
It was informed in the meeting that out of 82 identified infrastructure projects, mapping of 61 has been done through PM has been done on the Gatishakti platform, while in April this number was 40. Instructions have been given to complete the mapping of the remaining projects at the earliest. Apart from this, out of the process of linking data layers through API by 23 departments, 22 departments have started or completed the process.
The Chief Secretary directed to expedite the development of an integrated NOC system for approval of infrastructure projects. Its pilot application is being developed by the Public Works Department and related departments with the technical support of BISAG-N.
Shri Rastogi directed the GMDA to finalize the City Logistics Plan of Gurugram at the earliest and prepare a similar plan for Faridabad as well. He asked the departments to complete data integration, enhance coordination and remove bottlenecks related to the projects.
He said that the PM The objective of the initiative is to make infrastructure planning more scientific and integrated, reduce the time taken in preparation of projects and ensure better coordination between various departments, so that the benefits of public investment reach the citizens faster.
