Chandigarh, October 23 – The Hon’ble Governor of Haryana Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh paid homage to Lord Vishwakarma, the God of Creation and Craftsmanship, on the occasion of Vishwakarma Diwas at the Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh on Wednesday. Secretary to the Governor Mr. DK Behera was also present on the occasion.
Hon’ble Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh, while extending his greetings to the people of Haryana on this occasion, said that Vishwakarma Diwas reminds everyone of the spirit of skill, innovation and sacrifice which are essential for building a progressive and self-reliant nation.
The Governor, while lauding the contribution of artisans, engineers and all those engaged in creative work, said that their hard work and simplicity lay the foundation of a developed society.
He appealed to the citizens to learn from the ideals of Lord Vishwakarma and dedicate themselves to excellence, loyalty and human service.
Officers and staff of the Governor also participated in the function and offered a garland to Lord Vishwakarma.
