Chandigarh, November 4:- The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department has swiftly initiated action on the budget announcement made by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, aimed at promoting organic farming on a large scale in Haryana and increasing farmers' income.
Sharing this information, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana said that the state government is committed to promoting natural and organic farming.
Rana said that farmers registered on the 'Meri Fasal Mera Byora' portal will be provided a substantial subsidy of up to 80 per cent on organic manure. In addition, to facilitate the sale of organic manure, it has been decided to exempt sellers from the licensing process for selling small packs of up to 5 kilograms.
Providing details of the departmental action, Shyam Singh Rana clarified that approval has been granted to exempt dealers dealing in small packs of up to 5 kilograms of organic manures such as Fermented Organic Manure (FOM), Liquid Fermented Organic Manure (LFOM) and Phosphate Rich Organic Manure (PROM), and those maintaining stocks of up to 10 metric tonnes, from licensing regulations. The decision will be implemented shortly.
He said that this initiative will not only increase the use of organic products in the state but also make it easier for small sellers to conduct business, while farmers will directly benefit from the subsidy.
