Hansi:– With the aim of further strengthening the spirit of patriotism, the district administration will run the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign on a large scale from 9 to 17 August 2026. Also, Partition Horrors Remembrance Day will also be observed on 14 August through various programs. For the successful operation of the campaign, SDM Rajesh Khoth has been appointed as the District Nodal Officer.
Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal gave this information while presiding over a review meeting held in the video conferencing hall located at the District Secretariat. During the meeting, he assigned responsibilities to all departments and instructed them to make the campaign successful in a timely and effective manner.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary of the state Anurag Rastogi also gave necessary directions through video conferencing. Director General of Information, Public Relations and Language Department K M Pandurang presented the detailed outline of the campaign.
Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal said that this year the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign will be based on the 150 years 'Vande Mataram' theme. The main objective of the campaign is to further strengthen respect for the national flag, patriotism, national unity and integrity in every citizen. Also, an important objective of it is to make the new generation aware of the struggle, sacrifice and pain of lakhs of people affected during the partition of the country.
He said that at the district level, with the cooperation of all government departments, educational institutions, municipal bodies, panchayats, voluntary organizations and social organizations, Tiranga yatras, bike, cycle and e-bike rallies, Tiranga and Vande Mataram exhibitions, cultural programs, rangoli competitions, 'Selfie with Tiranga' campaign and various awareness activities will be organized. All programs will be regularly monitored by DC Rahul Narwal.
The Deputy Commissioner said that during the campaign, prominent government buildings, hospitals, schools, bridges, main squares, markets, bus stands, railway stations and other public places will be decorated with tricolor lighting and attractive decoration. Exhibitions on Tiranga and 'Vande Mataram' theme will be organized at district, block and panchayat level and maximum participation of students in schools and colleges will be ensured. During Tiranga Yatras, collective singing of 'Vande Mataram' will also be done.
He said that under the 'Selfie with Tiranga' campaign, special selfie points will be set up at prominent places in the district. Citizens will be encouraged to upload their selfie with the tricolor on the Har Ghar Tiranga portal. District administration and Information, Public Relations and Language Department will widely publicize the campaign through various mediums including social media.
The DC said that huge tricolor rangolis will be made on the theme of 'Vande Mataram', in which active participation of local artists, Women and Child Development Department, schools, colleges and various government departments will be ensured. Also, to ensure adequate availability of national flag, tricolors will be made available to BPL families and for other citizens, tricolor sale centers will be set up through self-help groups and local vendors. All national flags will be as per the Flag Code of India.
He said that on the occasion of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on 14 August, lectures, discussions, exhibitions, documentary screenings, theatrical presentations, experience sharing programs, tribute meetings and awareness activities will be organized at the district level. In schools and colleges, students will be made aware of the history of partition and its human aspect. Also, they will be motivated to participate in the national online quiz to be held from 1 August to 15 September 2026.
Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal instructed the officials to complete all preparations on time as per the directions of the state government.
