Hansi (Dinkar Gawri):- The District Child Welfare Council will organise the first district-level Children’s Festival from October 27 to 31 to encourage children’s talent and provide them with a platform to showcase their artistic abilities and skills. Students from government and private schools across the district will participate in the festival.

A meeting with social workers and representatives of social organisations was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner to ensure the successful organisation of the festival. Discussions focused on the event’s framework, various competitions, participation of schools, and arrangements for sponsorship and financial assistance.

The Deputy Commissioner said the Children’s Festival is an important platform for nurturing children’s hidden talents, boosting their confidence and promoting their overall development. He appealed to social workers to support the event and urged heads of government and private schools, along with teachers, to ensure the participation of as many students as possible.

The five-day festival is planned to feature various cultural and creative competitions, including group and solo dance, group and solo singing, painting, rangoli and quiz contests. The final list of competitions and the detailed schedule will be determined in accordance with the event plan.

District Child Welfare Officer Om Prakash said every child possesses unique talent that can be nurtured through appropriate opportunities and encouragement. He appealed to social workers, social organisations and prominent citizens to extend their support to make the festival a success.

Satpal Khandewala, Vinay Jain, Rajpal, Jagdish Mittal, Manjeet, Suresh Bansal, Advocate Dinesh, Satpal Bansal, Monika, Dharamvir and Amarjeet, along with other social workers, attended the meeting.
