Una, October 19:- As part of the state government's efforts to simplify revenue services and make them time-bound, emphasis is being laid on resolving land-related cases in Una district as well. In line with the special campaign launched by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, action is being taken on cases related to mutations, partition, demarcation and correction of revenue records. Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, the district administration has focused on expediting pending cases and regularly reviewing revenue services.

According to the available district data, action was recorded in a total of 9,647 cases related to mutations, partition, demarcation and correction of revenue records during 2025 and so far in 2026. These include 7,265 mutation cases, 1,597 demarcation cases, 590 partition cases and 195 cases involving correction of revenue records. These figures reflect the scale of work undertaken under revenue services in the district.

Special Revenue Courts Focus on Resolving Pending Cases

District Revenue Officer Vipin Kumar said that special partition courts are being held in the district every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to expedite hearings and the resolution of revenue cases. In addition, revenue courts are being held on the last two days of every month to provide further opportunities for action on pending cases. These efforts aim to speed up hearings in land-related matters and ensure that people receive revenue services on time.

Target to Clear All Pending Revenue Record Corrections by December 15

Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has emphasised time-bound action to resolve revenue cases. At a recent meeting with revenue officials, he directed that all pending cases involving correction of revenue records be resolved by December 15. He also instructed officials to expedite pending demarcation and partition cases and reduce the backlog of mutation and jamabandi-related cases.

Land Transfer Also Important for Development Projects

It is noteworthy that the role of the Revenue Department is not limited to private land-related matters. The transfer of land for development projects and construction works undertaken by various departments is also important. At a recent meeting, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal reviewed such cases subdivision-wise and directed officials to hold coordination meetings with the concerned departments to move pending cases forward.

Emphasis has also been laid on uploading maps of pending mahals under the SVAMITVA Scheme, providing training to patwaris and completing the post-drone-mapping process within the stipulated time. These measures can help maintain organised revenue records and facilitate further progress in land-related procedures.

Timely Delivery of Services Is Paramount

Along with improving revenue services, the district administration is focused on ensuring that people's work is completed conveniently and in less time. Timely action in matters such as mutations, demarcation, partition and correction of records is intended to make these services more accessible to the public. Special revenue courts, reviews of pending cases and fixed deadlines for their resolution are important measures for taking the state government's campaign forward at the district level.
