Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar January 29:- Shaheed Major Harminder Pal Singh Shaurya Chakra winner Government College, SAS Nagar, under the leadership of Principal Gurinderjit Kaur, a talented student of the college Satnam Singh (B.A. 3rd year) has brought glory to the college and the area by performing brilliantly at the national level in shooting sports during the year 2025.
Satnam Singh achieved a great achievement by winning the gold medal in the 25 meter pistol event in the 23rd Kumar Surinder Singh Memorial Shooting Championship (National Championship).
Apart from this, he performed brilliantly in the 25 meter sports pistol event in the Khelo India Para Games 2025 and secured the fourth position. Satnam Singh also participated in the 6th NPSC (National Para Sports Championship) and registered his presence at the national level.
Similarly, in the 68th National Games 2025, he participated in the 10m air pistol, 25m sports pistol and 50m free pistol events, where he brought pride to the college by securing fifth place in the 25m sports pistol.
On this occasion, Mrs. Principal Gurinderjit Kaur congratulated Satnam Singh for this excellent performance and wished him a bright future. Along with this, Professor Simarpreet, Head of the Physical Education Department of the college, also encouraged the player to achieve more high achievements in life.
