Hisar: A veritable ocean of faith is surging through the 'Shri Surabhi Gau Mahayagya' (Grand Cow Sacrifice Ritual), the 'Sawa Crore Shri Surabhi Mantra Chanting Ceremony,' and the 'Shrimad Gau Bhagavat Katha.' Devotees from Hisar city and various surrounding villages are participating with immense enthusiasm in this 'Gau Shakti Jagran' (Awakening of Cow Power) ritual. On the sixth day of this ongoing ceremony—being held within the premises of Saraswati College on Tosham Road—a large number of devotees gathered to attend the Gau Mahayagya and the Gau Katha discourse. As the narrator, the learned scholar Vidushi Bela Pareek, recounted the divine exploits (*Leelas*) of Lord Krishna during the Gau Katha, the devotees were overcome with emotion and began to sway in spiritual ecstasy. She explained that Lord Krishna served and protected cows, which is why He is revered as 'Gopala' (Protector of Cows). Furthermore, because He resided amidst the cows, He came to be known as 'Govinda.' To shield the residents of Gokul and their cows from the wrath of Lord Indra (the King of Gods), He lifted the Govardhan Mountain; this act stands as a testament to Lord Krishna's boundless love for 'Gau Mata' (Mother Cow). Vidushi Bela Pareek emphasized that serving Gau Mata is a profound symbol of one's love, devotion, purity (*Sattvikta*), and unwavering faith in the Almighty.
On the sixth day of the Shri Surabhi Gau Mahayagya, a sacred fire ritual (*Havan*) for the welfare of humanity was performed by Vijay Dhal (Chairman of Saraswati College of Education), Kamlesh Dhal, Director Vikas Dhal, Dr. Sonia Rani, Deepak Dhal, Bajrang Jindal, Pawan Jindal, Geeta Devi Gupta, Neeraj Kumar Gupta, Mahavir Agarwal, Satyaprakash Arya, and Maniram. Additionally, Mayor Praveen Popli graced the occasion as the Chief Guest during the Shrimad Gau Bhagavat Katha discourse on the sixth day. To mark the event, Keshav Tand, Mukesh Tangri, Ravinder Dhawan, Prithvi Singh, and Vijay Dhal ceremonially lit the sacred lamp (*Deep Prajwalan*) in accordance with traditional rituals. Vidushi Bela Pareek—the National President of the Matrubhumi Seva Sangh and a renowned spiritual orator—honored several individuals by draping a ceremonial *patka* (sash) over them. Those honored included Surendra Garg, Dr. Ashok Godara (President of the Teachers' Association), Dr. Madan Khichad, Dr. Omprakash Bishnoi, Dr. Ramniwas Saini, Satish Sehra, and Bittu from the Saligram Gaushala; Sitaram and Dr. Shrikant from the Thaska Temple; Vikas Gaur (BJP District Youth President); and former councilors Sushil Sharma, Suresh Jangra, Prakash, and Pawan Vats. On this occasion, Neeraj Kumar Gupta skillfully anchored the proceedings.
Vikas Dhal—Director of Saraswati College of Education and Chief Organizer of the *Gau Shakti Jagran Anushthan* (Cow Power Awakening Ritual) Steering Committee—announced that all preparations have been completed for the *Purnahuti Gau Mahayagya* (Concluding Cow Sacrifice Ritual) and *Bhandara* (Community Feast) scheduled for March 30. Under the spiritual guidance of orator Vidushi Bela Pareek, the *Purnahuti Gau Mahayagya* will be performed with full Vedic rites and rituals on March 30 at 9:00 AM, followed by the commencement of the continuous *Bhandara* at 11:00 AM. Hundreds of devotees from various regions are expected to participate enthusiastically in this event.
He further noted that, through the medium of the *Shrimad Gau Bhagavat Katha*, the spiritual orator Vidushi Bela Pareek has already introduced the audience to the narrative of the birth of Sage Shukadev and various associated episodes. She has also recounted the stories of the *Samudra Manthan* (Churning of the Ocean) and the divine manifestation of *Gau Mata* Kamadhenu. The tableaux depicting the celestial marriage of Lord Shiva and the divine manifestation of Lord Krishna (*Shri Krishna Prakatya Mahotsav*) have been a special highlight and a major center of attraction. She has shed light on the origin of the *Kshir Sindhu* (Ocean of Milk), the childhood *leelas* (divine plays) of Lord Krishna, the worship of Mount Govardhan, and the spiritual significance of *Gomay* (cow products). Similarly, through her discourses based on the divine character of Lord Krishna as *Dwarkadhish* (specifically the *Rukmini Mangal* episode), she has inspired the audience toward the path of devotion to the Lord.
