Ambala, February 15:- A grand cultural program was organized to welcome the newly admitted GNM and BSc Nursing students at Gandhi Memorial National College of Nursing, Ambala Cantt. The objective of this program was to familiarize the new students with the academic and cultural environment of the institution and strengthen the spirit of cooperation, coordination and harmony among them. The event filled with enthusiasm gave a warm welcome to the newcomers to the college family.
The program began with an inspiring speech by the college principal, Dr. Ram Lakhan Mali. He said that this program is not just an opportunity for entertainment, but the beginning of a new journey in the professional life of the students. Such programs play an important role in building self-confidence, making new friendships and developing team spirit.
College Counselor, Dr. Rohit Dutt, also addressing the students, said that nursing is not just a profession, but a path of service, sensitivity and dedication. He encouraged the freshers to become excellent nurses through discipline, continuous study and nurturing human values.
On this occasion, senior students presented colorful performances through dance, songs, games and various recreational activities. Freshers also participated enthusiastically and showcased their talent effectively. Students who performed excellently in the competitions held during the event were honored.
The highlight of the cultural program was the Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher competitions. Gurpreet and Akashdeep won the title of Mr. Fresher, while Gurleen and Mehak won the title of Miss Fresher. Karan was crowned Mr. Personality while Raminder and Shreya received the Miss Personality honor. Varnika was crowned Miss Charming.
The freshers described the event as memorable and thanked the Principal, Counselor, College Management Committee, Faculty and Staff members.
