Patiala, January 29:- The Class Four Government Employees Union Punjab (1680) held a gate rally in front of the forest division office. Leaders of various departments including forest, wildlife and forest corporation workers paid tribute to their late leader comrade Jagmohan Nolakha. They also expressed their protest over the demands of the forest workers, including outstanding arrears, outstanding salaries, regularization of services, and issues like dismissal of many workers on the pretext of old age.
On this occasion, State President Darshan Singh Lubana said that it is unfortunate that long-time workers in the forest, wildlife and forest corporation are being dismissed from their jobs on the pretext of old age and their salaries are not being released. While there is no fixed age limit for daily wage workers and sending them home empty-handed without paying their remaining wages is also a gross violation of the labor law. The honorable high courts have ordered to pay arrears, arrears of increase in minimum wage and wages.
In this way, not paying the regularized employees the basic pay scale of Rs. 18000/- and due allowances. This is an unfortunate decision of the government and not regularizing daily wage, contract, outsourced employees from now on and not issuing a policy in this regard and not implementing the decision of the honorable Supreme Court 2025 and not implementing “equal work-equal pay”, this is excessive. On this occasion, the associated leaders also announced that they supported the trade union in the rallies during the nationwide strike coming in February and announced to join them in large numbers.
Similarly, Darshan Singh Lubana said that he will also attend the trade union convention at Prabhu Bhawan on February 5.
