Mahilpur, November 23:- The All India Football Federation, under the leadership of the Punjab Football Association, is organizing the Group-A football matches of the 79th Santosh Trophy from 15 to 19 December at the Principal Harbhajan Singh Football Stadium located in Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur here.
Talking about this, Principal Harbhajan Singh Sporting Club General Secretary Dr. Parampreet Candowal, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh, Senior Member of the Club Master Baninder Singh, Head of Punjabi Department Dr. JB Sekhon and Professor of Physical Education Department Dr. Jatinder Kumar said that it is a matter of great pride that the All India Football Federation has selected the sports grounds of Khalsa College Mahilpur for the football matches of Santosh Trophy.
In which teams from Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and other states will compete in Group A of this Senior National Football Championship. On this occasion, Principal Parvinder Singh congratulated all the office bearers including Principal Harbhajan Singh Sporting Club President Kulwant Singh Sangha and the college management committee on this achievement.
He said that the Principal Harbhajan Singh Football Stadium and the college sports grounds located in the college have made an important contribution to the history of football where players like Asia's football team captain Jarnail Singh have been playing.
On this occasion, the club's secretary Dr. Parampreet Candowal said that the Santosh Trophy football matches in Mahilpur will be a big attraction for the sports lovers of the area. On this occasion, the club's senior member Master Baninder Singh thanked Punjab Football Association Secretary Harjinder Singh Jagga and Joint Secretary Vijay Bali for this achievement.
