Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 22 December: With the aim of promoting natural farming, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (K.V.K.), S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) organized a five-day training course for C.R.P. and Krishi Sakhis at the K.V.K. campus from 16 December to 22 December 2025. This training course was conducted under the guidance of Deputy Director Dr. Balbir Singh Khadda and with the cooperation of the Agriculture Department, S.A.S. Nagar.
During the training, Dr. Balbir Singh Khadda provided information about the importance of natural farming, its principles, and the facilities being offered by K.V.K. to promote animal husbandry, and motivated the farmers to adopt natural farming. Program Incharge Dr. Munish Sharma, Assistant Professor (Horticulture), shared detailed information about techniques such as Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, mulching, and Wapasa in natural farming.
From the Agriculture Department, Dr. Raman Krorea shared essential points related to crop management in natural farming, while Dr. Gurpreet provided information about crop processing. Along with this, Dr. Gurdial Kumar informed the trainees about government schemes related to natural farming.
On this occasion, Dr. Gagandeep Singh from Gurukul Kurukshetra, along with Shri Ramvilas and Shri Tarjinder Singh, shared their experiences on the subject of natural farming. During the training camp, an educational visit to the natural farming farm located at Gurukul Kurukshetra was also arranged for the trainees.
At the conclusion of the training course, the trainees thanked K.V.K. Mohali and appealed to organize such beneficial training programs in the future as well, so that more information about natural farming can be obtained.
