Karnal: The farmers' protest, being led by the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) demanding a service lane on the Karnal Ring Road, entered its 16th day on Saturday. The protesting farmers are firmly standing at the protest site. Today's protest was led by Ramkumar Jogi. The united farmers at the protest site raised slogans against NHAI officials. The farmers made it clear that the protest will continue until their demands are met. Addressing the protest, BKU district spokesperson Surendra Sangwan said that NHAI officials are consistently ignoring the farmers.
He said that the farmers are raising their legitimate demands peacefully. However, no concrete action is being taken by the administration and NHAI, which has caused immense anger among the farmers. Surendra Sangwan said that if a positive decision is not taken soon on the demand for a service lane, the protest will be intensified, and the concerned officials will be solely responsible for it. The farmers warned that their patience was running out.
