Hisar: A meeting of representatives from the Vaishya community was held under the chairmanship of Bajrang Garg, the National Executive President of the Agroha Dham Vaishya Samaj. During this meeting, deliberations were held regarding the development of Agroha and the delays currently plaguing the excavation of the mound. Addressing the gathering after offering prayers at the temple, Bajrang Garg, the National Executive President of the Agroha Dham Vaishya Samaj, stated that the government is proceeding with the excavation of the Agroha mound at an extremely sluggish pace.
It has been over a year since the excavation work on the mound commenced; however, there is a glaring lack of diligence being exercised in the process. While records indicate that crores of rupees have ostensibly been spent on the excavation of the Agroha mound thus far, there is absolutely no tangible evidence of such expenditure visible on the ground—a matter that warrants an immediate investigation by the government. The government must accelerate the pace of the excavation work at the Agroha mound.
Given the current pace at which the excavation is proceeding, it is highly unlikely that the project will be completed within the next ten years. It is imperative to remember that the Agroha mound—which once housed the palace of Maharaja Agrasen Ji—is a cherished public heritage site. People from every corner of the country and the state flock to visit the Agroha mound, as it holds deep historical and sentimental significance, being inextricably linked with the memories of Maharaja Agrasen Ji; the site currently remains under the custodianship of the government.
Bajrang Garg further proposed that the government should establish a museum directly at the Agroha mound site to house all the artifacts and materials unearthed during the excavation. This would enable visitors traveling from across the country and the state to view not only the mound itself but also the historical treasures recovered during the excavation process. The site—which once stood as the palace of Maharaja Agrasen Ji—has now transformed into a sprawling mound covering an expansive area of ??125 acres.
Agroha is the sacred spiritual abode (*Dharmanagari*) of Maharaja Agrasen Ji, a place with which the faith and sentiments of the nation's Vaishya community and the general public are deeply intertwined. The Central Government must fulfill its earlier commitments and take concrete steps to develop Agroha into a prominent tourist destination. On this occasion, Treasurer Pawan Garg, General Secretary Chudiya Ram Goyal, Youth Coordinator Anant Agarwal, Construction Committee Coordinator Rishi Raj Garg, Agroha President Ishwar Goyal, Brahmanand Goyal Bhattu, Punjab Women's President Smt. Kanta Goyal, Fatehabad District President Neha Mittal, Rajendra Bansal, Sitaram Singla, Kapil Agarwal (Aligarh), Girija Prasad Agarwal, Rakesh Agarwal (Jaipur), Shubham Agarwal (Bengaluru), Pawan Goyal (Hapur), Pramod Gupta (Delhi), Gyan Goyal (Faridabad), Sant Gupta (Jalandhar), Bharat Agarwal (Gwalior), and other representatives were present in large numbers.
