Energy Minister Anil Vij paid homage to the great martyrdom of the Sahibzadas saying If it werent for these sacrifices there would be neither Hindus nor Hindustan

Ambala, December 28: Haryana's Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister, Shri Anil Vij, said that there is no parallel in history to the Sikh religion, which has given such great sacrifices to save religion and Hindustan. If they had not made those sacrifices, perhaps there would be neither Hindus nor Hindustan. They saved Hindustan and their religion through their martyrdom.
The four Sahibzadas made sacrifices for their religion; two Sahibzadas attained martyrdom fighting in a battle against the Mughals, and the two younger Sahibzadas were bricked alive into a wall. The Sahibzadas chose martyrdom but refused to change their religion. This was the greatest sacrifice in the world given for the protection of religion.
Shri Vij was addressing devotees at a community kitchen (langar) organized in memory of the martyrdom of the four Sahibzadas in front of the Ambala Cantonment Civil Hospital today.
Energy Minister Anil Vij said that like the Sahibzadas, Guru Tegh Bahadur also made the ultimate sacrifice. At that time, Hindu Pandits appealed to Guru Tegh Bahadur for protection, saying that the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb had gone too far and was pressuring Hindu Pandits to convert to Islam.
At that time, Guru Tegh Bahadur went to the Mughal court and challenged them, saying, "Show me that you can convert me to Islam first." Aurangzeb subjected Guru Tegh Bahadur to many hardships and tortures to force him to convert. But the Guru remained steadfast in his resolve. The Mughals beheaded Guru Tegh Bahadur. His contribution to religion will remain immortal for ages to come.
Energy Minister Anil Vij said that these are days of martyrdom, and community kitchens (langars) are being organized everywhere in memory of the Sahibzadas and the Gurus. On the Ambala-Chandigarh road, langars (community kitchens) are being set up every half a kilometer so that people remember the sacrifices made by the Gurus and Sahibzadas, and remain steadfast in their faith.
During this time, Energy Minister Anil Vij participated in the prayer service at the langar and paid his respects to the martyrs by bowing his head. He also distributed langar to the devotees. Present on the occasion were SGPC members Harpal Singh Pali, BS Bindra, Suraj Rana, Sunil Chopra, Praveen Sahni, Ajay Kapoor, Jasvir Singh, Manmohan Singh, Prabhjot Singh, and others.
