Garhshankar, October 28 (Hari Krishan Gangar):- An employment camp was organised today at village Deonowal Khurd in Garhshankar under the Punjab Government’s ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign, under the leadership of Garhshankar SDM Sanjeev Kumar. DSP Kamaljit Singh and representatives of the Rural Development Office, Health Department and Sports Department were also present. The officials expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the village Sarpanch for helping raise awareness among the youth.
On the occasion, District Employment Officer Ramandeep Kaur informed unemployed applicants about the employment-related facilities provided by the District Employment and Business Bureau, Hoshiarpur. These include career counselling to help applicants plan their future, information about government jobs, efforts by the employment office’s placement cell to facilitate job opportunities, and guidance on self-employment schemes for those interested in starting their own businesses.
The Sarpanch, village numberdar and other Panchayat members of Deonowal Khurd were also present.
