Fatehabad, January 19:- On the call of the Sarva Karmachari Sangh (All Employees Union), hundreds of employees staged a strong protest at the Deputy Commissioner's office on Monday, demanding the regularization of temporary employees in all departments as per the High Court's orders, restoration of the old pension scheme, and other demands. Employees from various departments across the district participated in the protest and raised slogans against the government. After the protest, a memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner addressed to the Haryana government, and a notice was also given regarding the nationwide strike to be held on February 12. The protest was presided over by District President Surjit Dusad and conducted by District Secretary Ramniwas Sharma.
Addressing the protest, State General Secretary Krishan Nain and Senior Vice President of the Municipal Employees Union Haryana, Ramesh Tushamad, said that 1.25 lakh irregular employees, including teachers, guest teachers, skilled workers/teachers, Arohi school teachers, work education instructors, computer teachers, lab attendants, etc., have been serving for the last 10 to 20 years, but even today they do not receive regular salaries, service security, any kind of allowances, or pensions. Today, all the departments of Haryana are going through a serious crisis.
Employees who have been serving for years are still forced to work in a temporary, contractual, and exploitative system. They stated that the Punjab and Haryana High Court, in its clear, reasoned, and historic judgments on December 23 and December 31, 2025, has ordered the regularization of eligible temporary employees under the policies of 1993, 1996, 2003, and 2011. The court has also directed the government to create posts and formulate a policy to regularize employees who have completed 10 years of service.
Despite this, instead of implementing the orders, the Haryana government is adopting a policy of procrastination by citing the double bench and the Supreme Court, which is contrary to the spirit of the court. They warned... They stated that if the government does not implement the High Court's decisions regarding teachers and education staff in a timely manner, a major agitation will be launched in the future, including a strike on February 12th, to press for their demands.
