Garhshankar 23, February:- As per the Supreme Court's decision of 1 September 2025, all teachers' organizations of Punjab participated in the grand rally organized by all teachers' organizations of Punjab at Anandpur Sahib on Sunday under the leadership of Democratic Teachers' Front leaders Sukhdev Dancewal and Vinay Kumar to get the forced imposition of TET for promotion and retention of teachers before 2010 revoked.
At this time, teacher leaders Mukesh Kumar, Pradeep Singh, Inderjit Kaur, Khushvinder Kaur demanded from the Punjab government that for the service security of teachers, a special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha should be convened and a bill/resolution should be passed against this forced imposition of TET and this decision against natural justice should be canceled and a review petition should be filed in the Supreme Court.
At this time Madam Geetanjali, Jaswinder Singh, Balwinder Khanpur, Manjit Singh, Vinod Kumar, Ramesh Malkowal, Manjit Kaur, Gurbaksh Kaur, Madam Neenu Ghulaty said that teachers are the backbone of the education system. If their job security and service conditions remain unstable, it will directly impact the quality of education and learning of the students. In the current situation, they are facing uncertainty and mental pressure.
