Una, March 27: The determination of seat reservations and rotation for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and female candidates for the upcoming elections in the urban local bodies of Una district will be conducted on March 30 through a draw of lots.
Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal stated that, pursuant to Rule 10(8) of the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Election Rules, 2015, this process will be held on March 30 at 11:00 AM. Under this procedure, the reserved seats for the Nagar Panchayats of Amb, Gagret, Daulatpur Chowk, and Tahliwal, as well as the Nagar Parishads of Mehatpur-Basdehra and Santoshgarh, will be determined.
He further informed that this process will be conducted in the presence of three prominent citizens from the respective urban local body areas and three Gazetted Officers of the State Government. The Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil) of Amb, Gagret, Haroli, and Una will complete this process through a draw of lots at their respective offices.
The Deputy Commissioner has urged interested candidates, political parties, and the general public to be present at the designated date, time, and venue to participate in this process, thereby ensuring the transparency and smooth conduct of the democratic procedure.
