Hoshiarpur:- MLA of Chabbewal constituency Dr. Ishank Kumar today visited village Bahowal and reviewed the ongoing development works in the area and reviewed the progress of construction work of various road projects.
On this occasion, he inspected the construction work of the new link road being constructed from Bahowal to Baba Jakh Ji. He said that this road, which is about 2.2 km long, is being constructed at a cost of ?1.5 crore, which will act as a mini bypass for Mahilpur. A concrete causeway will also be constructed under this project. He said that this road has special importance because for the first time after independence, a paved road is being constructed on this route, which will strengthen better connectivity in the area.
MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar said that an amount of ?1.20 crore has been released for the 1.5 km new link road from Bahowal to Kheti Bhawan. Apart from this, ?8 crore has been approved for widening the 10 km stretch of Bahowal-Barian road, which will provide great convenience to the people of the area in transportation. He also said that a grant of ?5 lakh has been released for the upgradation of the playground of Bahowal and more grants will be given if necessary. On this occasion, Sarpanch Contractor Hardeep Singh thanked MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar and said that the people of village Bahowal and Halka Chabbewal are very happy with the development works being carried out by their MLA.
On this occasion, Panch Mamta Devi, Panch Kasutri Ram, Panch Balvir Kaur, Panch Vicky, Panch Narinder Kaur, Anmol Singh Bains, Ranveer Singh, Davinder Singh Bains, former Sarpanch Daljit Singh etc. were also present.
