Hoshiarpur- District Magistrate Ashika Jain has issued various prohibitory orders in the district in exercise of the powers vested in her under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Code, 2023.
According to these orders, orders have been issued to keep a register in their houses with the names of the owners of poultry farms/rice shellers/kilns and other small scale industries as well as those keeping other servants and the names, full address, three photographs (poses from right, left and front) of the persons working under them and to write down the addresses of all their relatives. 
The owner should keep the fingerprints of the servant in his register and also register this entire record immediately in the concerned police station or police post of the area. 
Along with this, house/shop owners, persons occupying houses/shops, persons in charge of houses/shops have also been ordered to immediately register the name and full address of the person residing in any house/shop they have rented or will rent in future in the police station or police post of their area.
The District Magistrate has also banned the cutting of green mango, neem, peepal and banyan trees from the delisted area within the district. According to the orders, if it is necessary to cut the said trees in special circumstances, then they should be cut only with the permission of the Forest Department. For this purpose, the same process will be adopted by the Forest Department, which is adopted for granting permits in closed areas under Sections 4 and 5 of the Punjab Land Conservation Act-1900. 
If it is necessary to cut green mango, neem, peepal and banyan trees at any place in Hoshiarpur district other than the delisted area, then its approval should be taken from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur.
In addition, the District Magistrate has issued orders that there will be a complete ban on any person / social or religious organization giving hate speech against any community in public gatherings, religious places, wedding parties or other functions. In case of doing so, legal action will be taken against the person concerned / violator.
Issuing another order, the District Magistrate has imposed a complete ban on any person watering or bathing cattle in big and small canals, Chow dams and Dhussi dams built on the banks of River Beas within the limits of the district. Similarly, a complete ban has been imposed on any person grazing cattle openly on roads or in public places.
Similarly, the District Magistrate has imposed a complete ban on burning of crop residues within a radius of one thousand yards (914 meters) of the outer boundary of 18-Ammunition Depot, Uchi Bassi, Tehsil Dasuha, District Hoshiarpur. This order will remain in force till January 7, 2026.
