Hoshiarpur/Daljit Ajnoha:- During a meeting held in Ludhiana by Punjab Employees and Pensioners Front, Sanjha Employees Forum and Ministerial Services Union, a program was drawn up to jointly struggle against the state government. As part of the first phase of this struggle, a symbolic rally was held at Mini Secretariat Hoshiarpur, in which a large number of employees and pensioners participated.
Speaking on the occasion, State Convener Satish Rana said that it is a very auspicious sign for the employee and pensioner movement of Punjab that the entire employee and pensioner class has come together under one banner and is ready to struggle for their rights.
Addressing the rally, various speakers Anirudh Moudgil, Narinder Singh Goli, Manjit Singh Saini, Kulwant Singh Saini, Inderjit Virdi, Balvir Singh Saini, Jasvir Singh Bham, Onkar Singh, Mukesh Gujarati, Deepak Trehan, Asha Rani, Harbhajan Singh, Parvesh Kumar, Tarlochan Singh, Som Nath Adia, Bahadur Singh, Jail Singh, Harbhajan Singh Ajnoha, Vikas Sharma, Pawan Kumar, Narinder Ajnoha, Waryam Singh, Harbhajan Singh Gill and Manjit Bajwa said that the state government is implementing anti-employee and anti-pensioner policies at a fast pace during its tenure. They alleged that oppressive policies are being adopted on employees who are struggling for their legitimate demands, they are being lathi-charged and false cases are being registered and sent to jails.
The speakers said that this struggle is being waged for the release of 18 percent dearness allowance, implementation of 2.59 coefficient for pensioners, restoration of the old pension scheme, regularization of all types of unskilled employees, implementation of minimum pay scale for honorarium and incentive employees, probation period of one year and full salary, cancellation of central pay scale and implementation of Punjab pay scale, restoration of discontinued allowances and abolition of Rs 200 jizya tax.
During the rally, it was announced that a district-level convention will be held at Saini Bhawan Hoshiarpur on July 11, after which a protest march will be held towards MLA Jimpa's house.
Apart from this, it was also announced that all the organizations of Hoshiarpur district will participate in a large number in the grand state-level rally being organized by the Joint Front and Joint Forum on July 17 in Chandigarh.
