Hoshiarpur:- District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur Secretary-cum-CJM Neeraj Goyal today said that under the guidelines of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar (Mohali) and under the guidance of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Rajinder Agarwal, a special drug de-addiction awareness campaign will be run across the district from December 6, 2025 to January 6, 2026.
The Secretary District Legal Services Authority was addressing a meeting of officers of various government departments, college principals, para-legal volunteers and representatives of social organizations in his office today. He said that drug addiction has become a serious threat to the society and collective efforts are needed to eradicate it from the root.
He said that during this campaign, active participation of para-legal volunteers, panel advocates, Legal Aid Defence Council, doctors, teachers, NGOs, NSS and NCC cadets and Sarpanches of Gram Panchayats will be ensured. Neeraj Goyal said that under this campaign, extensive awareness programs will be organized in rural and urban areas.
Which includes seminars, quiz competitions, walkathons, awareness rallies, street plays, poster making and painting competitions, essay writing and slogan writing competitions.
