Hoshiarpur:- Following the guidelines of Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar and the orders of District and Sessions Judge Hoshiarpur Rajinder Agarwal, the District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur is conducting an awareness campaign in various villages of district Hoshiarpur and sub-divisions by Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur Neeraj Goyal.
Under this, awareness programs were organized in government schools of various villages to keep the youth away from drugs and to make them aware about human rights and legal rights. On this occasion, panel advocates told about human rights that human rights are not just on paper, but are a part of daily life such as security, food, water, education and freedom of speech.
They said that human rights are our daily needs. We need daily security, food, water and freedom of speech, which are our rights. Apart from this, people were given detailed information about their legal rights and NALSA schemes and state schemes run by the authority. Finally, promotional materials were distributed by para legal volunteers working in District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur.
On this occasion, the young generation was motivated to give up drugs in the future and do good deeds, so that a good society can be created. During this, information was also given about NALSA (Drug Awareness and Wellness Navigation - for Drug Free India), Yojana 2025 and the impact of drugs on health, family and social life and the legal provisions of the NDPS Act.
