SAS Nagar, July 4:- As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) of the electoral rolls, ADC-cum-Additional District Election Officer Ms. Geetika Singh, along with SDM-cum-Electoral Registration Officer, Assembly Constituency-52, Kharar, Gurmeet Singh, conducted a field visit to review the progress of the revision exercise.
During the visit, the officers reviewed the progress of the digitization of Enumeration Forms and interacted with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) engaged in the exercise. They appreciated the sincere efforts being made by the BLOs and encouraged them to maintain accuracy while ensuring completion of the assigned work within the stipulated timeline.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Mrs. Komal Mittal said that the Special Intensive Revision is a crucial exercise for maintaining an accurate, updated and error-free electoral roll. She emphasized that every Enumeration Form should be digitized with utmost care and that all election officials must strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.
Mrs. Mittal said that the district administration is closely monitoring the progress of the revision exercise through regular field inspections and reviews. She urged all Booth Level Officers and election functionaries to continue working with dedication and ensure that the process is completed in a transparent, accurate and time-bound manner.
She further stated that the district election machinery is fully committed to conducting the Special Intensive Revision efficiently so that every eligible elector is duly covered in accordance with the prescribed norms.
