Santoshgarh/Una, May 30 (Rajveer Chopra):- A meeting of parents was held on Saturday at the local Government Girls' Senior Secondary School of Excellence, Santoshgarh, under the chairmanship of the School Principal, to constitute the School Management Committee (SMC). The objective of the meeting was to form a new committee dedicated to the development, beautification, and further enhancement of the school's academic activities.
During the meeting, the school Principal, **Kavita Kumari**, apprised the parents in attendance regarding the significance of the School Management Committee and the procedure for its formation. The election process was conducted under the supervision of SMC Coordinators **Ankush Vashisht**, **Sandeep Kumar**, and **DP Praveen Sharma**.
Speaking on the occasion, parent **Naresh Singha** remarked that the previous committee had performed commendable work in the best interests of the school. Subsequently, the name of the former Chairman, **Devi Lal**, was proposed once again for the post of Chairman. All parents present unanimously supported the proposal, and **Devi Lal (Ward No. 2)** was elected as the Chairman of the School Management Committee for the upcoming two-year term.
Additionally, **Veena Devi (Ward No. 4)** was appointed as the Vice-Chairperson. The committee members inducted into the body include **Asha Rani, Harbhajan Singh, Varinder Jaswal, Praveen Kumari, Rajkumari, Sapna Devi, Promila, Ramandeep, Amarjit Kaur, Sapna, Renu Bala, Anju Bala**, and **Sandeep Kumar**.
Expressing his gratitude to all the parents, the newly elected Chairman, Devi Lal, pledged to work with complete dedication and integrity towards the holistic development of the school, the welfare of the students, and the creation of a conducive environment within the institution. The school administration also extended its best wishes to the new committee and expressed its anticipation for their cooperation.
