Amb (Una), November 11 – Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal and his wife, Dr. Renu Sehrawat, Chairperson of the Hospital Welfare Section of the District Red Cross Society, visited the Government Primary School, Amb, on Tuesday. They spent intimate moments with the children and distributed 272 pairs of shoes and socks. The event was organized by the District Red Cross Society and the SRP Care for India Foundation, Polio Purohit.
The Deputy Commissioner commended this social initiative, saying that such efforts strengthen the spirit of cooperation and sensitivity in society. He emphasized that children are the future of our country and all sections of society should contribute together for their overall development. He also emphasized that such efforts not only bring smiles to children's faces but also spread a message of positivity throughout society.
Dr. Renu Sehrawat encouraged the children to set goals in life and move forward with a positive mindset. On this occasion, she and the Deputy Commissioner shared the mid-day meal with the children and praised the nutritious food prepared by the school teachers. Sushma Sharma, Director of the SRP Care for India Foundation, stated that under this campaign, shoes will be distributed to a total of 1,023 students in 16 primary schools in Education Block Amb.
During the program, the children gave cultural performances, which the Deputy Commissioner praised and commended their enthusiasm. The school teachers expressed their pride in having such a sensitive and inspiring officer. Present on the occasion were SRP Care for India Foundation co-founder Narendra Sharma, CHT Inder Kaur, school staff, and other dignitaries.
