Nawanshahr:- District level function regarding Independence Day on 15th August will be celebrated with enthusiasm, pomp and spirit of patriotism at the ground of I.T.I. Nawanshahr. This was expressed by Deputy Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh while addressing a meeting organized regarding advance arrangements of district level Independence Day function with heads of various departments at meeting hall of District Administrative Complex Nawanshahr.
 Deputy Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh during the meeting assigned duties to officers of various departments for various works and gave directions to them to discharge the responsibility assigned to them with seriousness and dedication. He told that at the district level Independence Day function, ceremony of hoisting national flag by Chief Guest etc. will be done and salute will be taken from contingent of March Past. 
He told that Punjab Police, N.C.C. and contingents of various schools will be included in March Past. He instructed District Education Officer that cultural programme to be organized on occasion of 15th August should be based on spirit of patriotism or should depict cultural heritage of country and state.
 He further instructed that rehearsals of function to be organized regarding Independence Day should be conducted at ground of I.T.I. Nawanshahr. He instructed that overall arrangements of function should be carried out in smooth and beautiful manner. 
He told that on occasion of Independence Day, freedom fighters, besides those achieving special achievements in sports, education and other fields as well as officers and employees achieving high achievements with hard work, dedication will also be honoured.
