Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, November 27: The Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer has issued reservation for Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad constituencies of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district.
Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal said that this reservation has been made by exercising the powers given under Section 102 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act 1994 and Rule 3 of the Punjab Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad Reservation for Territorial Constituencies Rules 2018.
She said that the constituencies of Juuli, Malakpur and Guru Nanak Colony under Panchayat Samiti Derabassi have been reserved for the Scheduled Castes. Jawaharpur and Chandiala have been reserved for Scheduled Caste women. Samgoli, Pandawala, Paragpur, Kheri Gujran, Amalala, Jharmadi, Bhagsi, Sarasini and Kurawala have been reserved for women. Dharamgarh has been reserved for BC. Handesra, Khelan, Trivedi Camp, Bhankharpur, Rani Majra, Basoli and Humayunpur have been kept general.
He said that under Panchayat Samiti Kharar, Sawada, Jhanjeri and Sotal have been reserved for Scheduled Caste women. Machhli Kalan and Cholta Khurd have been reserved for Scheduled Caste women. Siunk, Allapur, Sahora, Kalewal and Ghogha have been reserved for women. Badi Karoran, Mullanpur Garibdas, Chandiala, Cholta Khurd, and Majatari have been kept general.
He said that under Panchayat Samiti Majri, Majri and Jaintimajri have been reserved for Scheduled Castes. Khizrabad and Jhingra Kalan have been reserved for Scheduled Caste women. Police Stations Gobindgarh, Mirzapur, Jhandemajra, Niholka and Tyur have been reserved for women. Manakpur Sharif, Barodi, Saini Majra, Tida, Padhol, and Roorkee Kham have been kept general.
He said that under Panchayat Samiti Mohali, Jujhar Nagar, Moli Baidwan and Manoli Surat have been reserved for Scheduled Castes. Lakhnaur, Bakarpur and Devinagar (A) have been reserved for Scheduled Caste women. Manana, Barmajra Colony, Daun, Landran, Kambala, Durali, Karala, Hulka and Buta Singh Wala have been reserved for women. Dharamgarh (B) has been reserved for BC. Balongi, Bhagomajra, Manoli, Kurdi, Motemajra, Saneta, Gobindgarh, Manakpur and Kheda Gaju have been kept as general.
He informed that Bajheri under Zila Parishad Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar constituency has been reserved for SC. Kheda Gaju has been reserved for SC women. Mullanpur Garibdas, Khizrabad, Dharamgarh and Kurda have been reserved for women. Jolan Kalan, Bhankharpur, Moli Baidwan and Tida have been kept as general.
