Hoshiarpur:- Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Aashika Jain today inspected the route from Hoshiarpur to Garhshankar along with senior officers of Civil and Police administration while taking stock of the reception, security and complete arrangements for the historic city kirtan dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that last week a team of senior officers of the district had inspected the route of Mukerian, Dasuha, Garhdiwala, Bhunga and Haryana region by bus. Continuing the same chain, a visit was made to Garhshankar Marg via Naloiyan Chowk, Mata Chintapurni Chowk, Gurdwara Mittha Tiwana, Gurdwara Sri Kalgidhar Sahib, Prabhat Chowk, Phagwara Chowk, Ghanta Ghar Chowk, Session Chowk, Mahilpur Adda, Chabbewal, Mahilpur so that all the departments could complete the preparations ahead of time.
He said that Nagar Kirtan, which started from Sri Nagar, will enter Mukeriyan in District Hoshiarpur on November 21 through Pathankot, where the Nagar Kirtan will be given a guard of honour. On the same day, Nagar Kirtan Dasuha and Garhdiwala will rest at Gurdwara Sri Rampur Kheda. After this, on November 22, Nagar Kirtan will depart from Gurudwara Sri Rampur Kheda and reach Sri Anandpur Sahib via Bhunga, Haryana, Hoshiarpur, Chabbewal, Mahilpur and Garhshankar.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials of the concerned departments to complete the route cleaning, security management, traffic control, lighting, medical assistance and other necessary arrangements in a timely manner. He said that no deficiency will be allowed in the reception of Nagar Kirtan and special duty of officials will be imposed at all the centers so that devotees are not inconvenienced in any way. He said that a special welcome gate is also being constructed to welcome the Nagar Kirtan.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain has cordially invited the residents of the district to join the historic city kirtan dedicated to the 350th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He called upon the people of the district to participate in Nagar Kirtan with devotion and enthusiasm and be a part of this historic occasion.
