Hoshiarpur, June 23:- Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain has appealed to the youth of the district to fulfill their dream of becoming officers in the Indian Armed Forces by getting admission in the Sardar Bahadur Amin Chand Soni Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, Bajwara (Hoshiarpur).
She said that this institute, established under the Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Department of the Punjab Government, provides high-level training to the youth to become officers in the Indian Navy, Army and Air Force. The institute will provide special coaching for graduate level entry into the armed forces through CDS, AFCAT, OTA and other competitive entrance examinations.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the first batch of this training program will start from the second week of July 2026. Under this, the candidates will be given 3 months of structured academic training and 3 weeks of SSB (Services Selection Board) training to prepare for the entrance exams.
He said that this facility is available for boys and girls who have completed graduation as well as students studying in the final year of graduation. The institute will also provide accommodation in the hostel and food facility through the dining hall for the candidates.
Ashika Jain said that the date of birth of the applicant should be after January 1, 2003 and it is mandatory to have secured at least 55 percent marks in graduation. Apart from this, the candidate must also be medically fit.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the eligible youth to make the most of this golden opportunity and said that interested candidates can fill the prescribed application form and send it to the email **[[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])** on or before 30th June 2026. He said that this institution can prove to be an important step towards becoming a military officer for the youth who have the passion for serving the country.
