Una, December 7: On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri made a donation at Gondpar Jaichand today, expressing his respect for the armed forces. Colonel (Retd.) S.K. Kalia, Deputy Director of the District Sainik Welfare Office, Una, received the donation by placing the Armed Forces flag on the Deputy Chief Minister and his personal staff.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri extended his best wishes to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy, veterans, and their dependent families. He said that Armed Forces Flag Day, celebrated every year on December 7, is dedicated to those immortal heroes who sacrificed their lives or were seriously injured while protecting the nation.
He stated that the funds collected through the special flags hoisted on this day are spent on the welfare of the families of martyred soldiers, disabled soldiers, and veterans. This donation is completely income tax-free. The Deputy Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to show their respect for the brave soldiers of the country by contributing as much as possible to this noble cause.
Following this, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri listened to the problems of the local people at his residence. He resolved most of the problems on the spot and directed the concerned departments to resolve the remaining matters within the stipulated time frame.
