Una, 27 May. District Election Officer Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal flagged off the Loktantra Utsav vehicle on Monday to motivate voters for 100 per cent voting in the Lok Sabha and two assembly by-elections in Una district. Through this Democracy Utsav vehicle, people in all the assembly constituencies of the district will be made aware for 100 percent voting on the voting day on June 1. After the departure, voter awareness message was spread by taking the awareness vehicle around in Una assembly constituency on Monday. Through the Loktantra Utsav vehicle, people will be further made aware to vote in Amb of Chintpurni assembly constituency on 28th May, Bangana of Kutlahar assembly constituency on 29th May, Haroli on 30th May and Gagret assembly constituency on 31st May.
The District Election Officer said that voting is not only a right but also a duty of every voter. By using it individuals actively participate in the democratic process and contribute to the overall progress of the country. Appealing to the residents of the district, he said that all voters must vote on June 1. To ensure participation of all voters in the elections in Una district, various activities are being organized by the district administration under the SVEEP program so that 100 percent voting is ensured through widespread public awareness.
On this occasion, the District Election Officer said that special arrangements will be made at all the polling centers to ensure that the voters coming to cast their vote do not face any kind of inconvenience.
NCC and NSS volunteers will also be deployed at the polling center with all the basic facilities like pure drinking water, toilets, wheelchairs for the disabled, adequate lighting facilities.
On this occasion, Tehsildar Election Suman Kapoor, Naib Tehsildar Ajay Sharma and other officers and employees were present.
