Chandigarh, May 21:- Several students who filled out applications for the Veterinary Inspector recruitment (Advertisement No. 10/2026) in Punjab are currently facing severe hardships. Due to minor human and technical errors made while filling out the application forms, an atmosphere of anxiety and disappointment prevails among the candidates. The students have sought the intervention of the Chief Minister of Punjab in this matter and appealed for immediate relief.
The students stated that during the application process, many candidates made minor mistakes in typing their Aadhaar numbers, identity card details, Punjab residency status, educational qualifications, and other personal information. However, no correction facility or edit window has been provided on the recruitment portal to rectify these mistakes. Furthermore, due to having the same Aadhaar number, date of birth, and category, the candidates cannot even submit a fresh new application form, which has further compounded their distress.
The candidates shared that many students hail from rural backgrounds and had filled out the application forms themselves. Several candidates have been preparing for this recruitment for a long time, and now, solely due to minor errors, their future seems to be at stake. The students said that these mistakes were not intentional but rather common human errors, which should be given a chance to be corrected.
According to the students, they also contacted the helpdesk, but no satisfactory solution was provided. This has led to further disappointment among the candidates. Many students mentioned that they have been working day and night to prepare for the exam, but now, due to minor technical errors, their hard work seems to be going down the drain.
The candidates also pointed out that there are still about 4 days left before the application deadline, so if the government wishes, it can easily provide a correction window or allow resubmission. The students appealed to the Chief Minister that keeping in view the future of eligible and hardworking candidates, a swift solution should be provided on humanitarian grounds.
The students added that if the government provides a correction facility or a chance to reapply, it will bring huge relief to the eligible candidates and make the recruitment process more transparent and student-friendly.
