Karnal, November 20: Defence Career Guidance Session was organized for Class 10 and 11 students at Karnal International School today. The session was conducted under the guidance of the school’s Chairman, Colonel Arun Dutta.
Group Captain Atanu Guru, a Vir Chakra and Yudh Seva Padak awardee, was the keynote speaker in the session. During the session, Group Captain Atanu Guru gave detailed information to the students about the various career options available in the Indian Armed Forces, eligibility criteria and selection process.
He explained in a simple and clear manner the preparation strategy required for joining the Defence Services during Class 12. He interacted with the students and guided them in the right direction by understanding their interests, capabilities and future aspirations. Along with this, he also shared important tips related to personality development such as communication skills, self-confidence, discipline and team building.
The students participated enthusiastically in the session, asked many questions related to the defence services and gained useful information. The objective of this event was to make the students aware, confident and goal-oriented towards their career decisions, which this session successfully accomplished.
