Karnal, August 28: A stir has been created following a death threat received by BJP MLA Jagmohan Anand from Karnal. A threatening letter was sent to the MLA via post, threatening to kill both him and his son. Using abusive language, the sender threatened to gun them both down. Upon receiving information about the matter, the police registered an FIR and initiated an investigation.
**Police Informed; Letter Written to Chief Minister**
After receiving the threatening letter, MLA Jagmohan Anand immediately informed the police. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, he also wrote to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, demanding a thorough investigation into the incident and strict action against the culprits. Additionally, the MLA has requested enhanced security for himself and his son.
The police have registered an FIR based on the MLA's complaint. They are now investigating the origin of the letter, the identity of the sender, and whether there is any actual link to a criminal gang. Currently, an atmosphere of panic prevails within the MLA's family.
However, the actual motive behind the threat and the identity of the sender will only be revealed after the police investigation concludes. The police are examining all aspects of the case. At present, investigating the threatening letter sent to the Karnal MLA is the top priority for the police.
