Una, May 29: Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal stated that stringent security arrangements have been put in place across all subdivisions of District Una for the counting of votes for 17 Zila Parishad members and 107 Panchayat Samiti members. He informed that the vote counting process will commence on May 31 at 9:00 AM. He further detailed that the counting for 24 Panchayat Samitis and 4 Zila Parishad seats of the Una subdivision will be conducted at Government College, Una; for 22 Panchayat Samitis and 3 Zila Parishad seats of the Amb subdivision at Government College, Amb; for 19 Panchayat Samitis and 3 Zila Parishad seats of the Bangana subdivision at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government College, Bangana; and for 24 Panchayat Samitis and 4 Zila Parishad seats of the Haroli subdivision at Government Senior Secondary School, Haroli. Similarly, the counting for 20 Panchayat Samitis and 3 Zila Parishad seats of the Gagret subdivision will take place at the Polytechnic Institute, Ambeta. It is pertinent to note that members for two Panchayat Samitis have already been elected unopposed.
He explained that at each counting center, a team comprising three counting officials/staff members—consisting of one supervisor and two assistants—will be deployed at every table. Additionally, several reserve teams have also been kept on standby. Specifically, for the Una subdivision, 28 tables have been set up, and 34 teams have been deployed for the counting process. In the Amb subdivision, 19 teams have been deployed across 15 tables; in the Gagret subdivision, 23 teams across 20 tables; in the Haroli subdivision, 15 teams across 12 tables; and in the Bangana subdivision, 21 teams have been deployed across 18 tables to carry out the vote counting duties.
