Hisar: Preparations for the Hindu New Year Festival are underway with great enthusiasm. The festivities will commence with a procession of consecrated flags—each bearing the 'Vishnu Tilak' (a sacred mark associated with Lord Vishnu). Thousands of people are expected to participate in this flag procession, dancing and singing along the way. For the festival scheduled for March 22nd—to be held within a grand marquee situated in front of the Shri Satyanarayan Shiv Temple at Hisar's New Grain Market—the entire temple complex and the marquee itself will be adorned with saffron flags.
Organized by the Shri Prabhubhakt Sankirtan Mandal under the aegis of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Haryana's largest Hindu New Year Festival and 'Ramotsav' (Festival of Lord Rama) is expected to create a buzz that will resonate across the entire country.
During a press conference organized by the Hindu New Year Organizing Committee at the Budhla Sant Temple in Rishi Nagar, detailed discussions were held regarding the upcoming Hindu New Year Festival on March 22nd. During this event, the consecrated flags bearing the 'Vishnu Tilak' were also formally unveiled.
Prominent figures present on this occasion included Prof. Deepak Kumar (VHP Provincial Head of Satsang), Program Coordinator Mamta Soni, Women's Wing Head Umesh, Co-Heads of the Women's Wing Kusum and Anita Bindal, Public Relations Head Anju Singhal, Secretary Deepika Kaushik, Treasurer Rinku, and Arrangements Head Anita Garg, along with Ankit, Sunil, Baldev, Mohit, Praveen, and Saksham.
Prof. Deepak Kumar announced that the Hindu New Year Festival will commence on March 22nd at 7:00 AM. The Shri Prabhubhakt Sankirtan Mandal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Chhatrapati Shivaji Smarak Samiti, and the Hindu New Year Organizing Committee will play pivotal roles in organizing this festival. He further stated that the festivities would feature a grand religious assembly (*Virat Dharma Sabha*), melodious devotional singing (*Sankirtan*), and a ceremonial showering of flowers and perfumes. Devotees will also have the opportunity to witness a divine and ethereal manifestation of 'Bharat Mata' (Mother India). Several renowned vocalists will perform devotional songs (*Bhajans*) to extol the glory of Shri Shyam Baba and Lord Shri Ram.
A *Satvik Bhandara* (community feast prepared with pure, wholesome ingredients) will be organized through the 'Shri Shyam Rasoi' initiative. Devotees will be served *Prasad* (sacred food offerings) consisting of *Churma*, fruits, and *Karmabai ka Khichda*. Prof. Deepak Kumar elucidated the religious and historical significance of the Hindu New Year, while also describing its scientific basis. He further explained how the Hindu New Year should be celebrated. He stated that the Hindu New Year festivities on March 22nd would also serve to kindle the spirit of Sanatan Dharma and patriotism.
He informed that VHP Central Minister Ambrish Ji and Haryana RSS *Prant Pracharak* (Provincial Propagator) Surendrapal Ji would be attending the Hindu New Year festival as special guests. Alongside them, several renowned personalities from both the national and state levels will participate in the festivities. For the event, Hitesh Grover will serve as the Program In-charge, while Mamta Soni will fulfill the role of Coordinator. Additionally, Sunil Goyal, Anju Singhal, Anita Bindal, Umesh Rajpal, Ashok Tilakdhari, Kusum Goyal, Deepika Kaushik, and Rinku Sahni will play pivotal roles in the festival.
