Ratia, 19 August:- District Election Officer and DC Dr. Vivek Bharti said that to make the voter list pure, transparent and error-free, the work related to claims-objections and notice phase should be done with full seriousness within the prescribed time limit. BLOs should deliver each notice to the concerned voter and ensure to obtain necessary documents by 25th August. Eligible citizens, whose names are not yet included in the voter list, should be made to fill Form-6 and apply by 30th August.
The District Election Officer and DC were presiding over a meeting organized with EROs, AEROs, Additional AEROs and Supervisors at Ratia SDM office on Wednesday to review the work of claims-objections and notice phase regarding special intensive revision of voter list.
Each notice should be verified seriously
DC directed that BLOs should complete the work of notice distribution in their respective booth areas on priority and obtain necessary documents from concerned voters within prescribed time and check them as per Election Commission guidelines. No eligible voter should face unnecessary trouble and ineligible entry should not remain in the list without proper verification. All BLOs should keep a systematic record of progress of their area.
AERO should take daily progress report
Dr. Vivek Bharti directed AEROs to obtain daily progress report from BLOs and hold meetings as per requirement to review the work. Where the pace of work is slow at booths, immediate guidance and necessary cooperation should be provided. He said that actual work at booth level should be monitored. AEROs, Additional AEROs and Supervisors should conduct regular field visits and review the work.
Give special attention to registration of new voters
DC said that special attention should be given to include eligible citizens who have completed 18 years of age or more in the voter list. Such citizens should be made to fill Form-6 and apply by 30th August. Eligible students studying in colleges should also be made aware about voter registration process. He said that ensuring participation of every eligible citizen in democracy is an important responsibility of the election machinery.
Do booth-wise monitoring through micromanagement
Dr. Vivek Bharti said that BLOs and Supervisors should work on the basis of booth-wise micromanagement. Status of pending notices, received documents, claims-objections and new voter registration should be clearly available at each booth. Supervisors should hold regular meetings with BLOs under them to review progress and get any problem resolved in time.
Citizens will be able to file claims-objections till 30th August
According to the revised programme fixed by Election Commission of India, the qualifying date for special intensive revision is 1st July 2026 and draft voter list was published on 31st July 2026. The period for filing claims and objections is fixed from 31st July to 30th August 2026. The process of notice phase and disposal of claims-objections will run from 31st July to 28th September 2026, while final publication of voter list will be done on 3rd October 2026.
He directed all officials to complete the entire process with transparency, impartiality and as per prescribed time schedule by strictly following the directions of Election Commission.
In the meeting, SDM Ratia Surendra Singh, DMC Praveen Kumar, Election Naib Tehsildar Rajkumar including EROs, AEROs, Additional AEROs, Supervisors and officers of concerned departments were present.
