Panchkula, October 11:- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, accompanied by his wife, Smt. Suman Saini, visited Mata Mansa Devi Temple on the first day of Ashwin Navratri today, paid obeisance and performed rituals and prayers to seek the blessings of the Goddess. On the occasion, he prayed for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of the state.
Thereafter, the Chief Minister participated in the havan-yajna held at the yajna hall within the temple complex and offered oblations.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Administrator of the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Satpal Sharma, presented a picture of Mata Mansa Devi to the Chief Minister as a mark of honour.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister extended greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Ashwin Navratri. He said that he was fortunate to have the opportunity to seek the blessings of the Goddess on the sacred occasion of the first day of Navratri. He prayed to Mata Mansa Devi for the well-being and auspicious lives of the people of the state. He also expressed the hope that Haryana would continue to progress and prosper and play an important role in realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047.
Chief Minister Encourages Blood Donors
On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, the Chief Minister visited a blood donation camp organised by the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, the District Red Cross Society, Panchkula, and the Shri Shiv Kanwar Mahasangh Charitable Trust, Panchkula. He interacted with the blood donors and appreciated their contribution to this noble cause. He also pinned badges on the donors to encourage them.
The Chief Minister said that blood donation was a great act of charity. Even a single drop of blood donated by an individual could play a vital role in saving the life of someone in need. He appealed to people to participate enthusiastically in this noble cause.
Haryana’s First Tourist Police Post Inaugurated
The Chief Minister also inaugurated Haryana’s first Tourist Police Post at the Mata Mansa Devi Temple complex. Haryana Director General of Police Ajay Singhal and Panchkula Police Commissioner Pankaj Nain were also present on the occasion.
Twenty trained personnel have been specially deployed at this Tourist Police Post. They have been provided with a special tourist police uniform distinct from the regular police uniform so that devotees can identify them easily. These personnel will remain available round the clock to assist and serve devotees.
To further strengthen security arrangements at the temple complex, live monitoring of more than 100 CCTV cameras installed there will now be carried out from this Tourist Police Post. A control room has been established within the post for this purpose.
Keeping in mind the languages and behaviour of devotees arriving from different states, the personnel have also received specialised training in interpersonal skills and communication to ensure better assistance. This will help them resolve devotees’ problems with courtesy and a cooperative approach.
Commending the initiative of the Police Department, the Chief Minister said that the launch of Haryana’s first Tourist Police Post would make visits to Mata Mansa Devi Temple safer, more convenient and more pleasant for devotees.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board Vivek Arya, Deputy Commissioner of Police Aditi Singh, Mayor Shyam Lal Bansal, Chairperson of the Haryana State Commission for Scheduled Castes Banto Kataria, former Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly Gian Chand Gupta, BJP District President Ajay Mittal, Secretary of the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board Sharda Prajapati, Head of Media Relations Praveen Atre and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
