Lalru, October 11:- Under the Punjab Government’s ‘Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme’, Dera Bassi MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa flagged off a bus carrying devotees from Ward No. 4 in Lalru for a pilgrimage to the sacred religious sites of Khatu Shyam and Salasar Balaji.

On the occasion, MLA Randhawa said that the scheme launched by the Punjab Government was providing devotees with an opportunity to visit various religious sites. He stated that the entire cost of the pilgrimage was borne by the Punjab Government and no fee of any kind was charged to the devotees.

He said that a large number of devotees had visited various pilgrimage sites under the scheme so far. This initiative by the Punjab Government not only respects people’s religious faith but also provides them with the facility of undertaking pilgrimages free of cost.

Great enthusiasm was witnessed among the devotees as the bus departed. Appreciating the Punjab Government’s initiative, the devotees thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa.

MLA Randhawa said that the Punjab Government was continuously working for the welfare of the people and to provide them with better facilities. He added that such people-oriented initiatives would continue, keeping people’s needs and religious sentiments in mind.

Municipal Council President Zorawar Singh, Vice-President Aman Rana, senior leader Roop Rana, Youth Coordinator Gagandeep Singh, Pawan Sharma and other prominent persons were present on the occasion.
