Boothgarh, October 27:- Cleanliness activities were carried out today at various health institutions functioning under Primary Health Centre (PHC) Boothgarh. The drive was conducted under the leadership of SMO Dr. Alakjot Kaur, with the main objective of ensuring a clean and healthy environment at health institutions.
During the campaign, staff members cleaned the indoor and outdoor areas of the health centres. Special attention was also given to keeping patient waiting areas, office rooms, courtyards and surrounding areas clean. Efforts were made to ensure proper waste disposal and improve cleanliness arrangements.
Dr. Alakjot Kaur said that maintaining cleanliness at health institutions is one of the key priorities of the Health Department. A clean environment provides a better setting for patients as well as healthcare workers. She said that cleanliness should not be limited to a one-day activity; instead, it must become a daily habit.
She encouraged all staff members of the health institutions to ensure regular cleaning of their respective work areas and motivate people to remain aware of the importance of cleanliness. She also appealed to the public to maintain cleanliness in their homes and surroundings and avoid throwing waste in public places.
