Nawanshahr, August 26:- As per the guidelines of the National Legal Services Authority and under the orders received from the Honorable Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar and under the guidelines of the District and Sessions Judge, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Mr. Jatinder Pal Singh Khurmi, CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Dr. Amandeep held a meeting on 24.08.2026 with the Deputy Manager, Lead Bank Manager, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and officials of various banks regarding the National Lok Adalat to be held in the district on 12.09.2026.
During this meeting, CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Dr. Amandeep Ji informed that as per the directions of National Legal Service Authority and under the guidelines of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, a National Lok Adalat will be organized on 12.09.2026 to resolve the cases that are amenable to settlement at the judicial and pre-litigation stage in the district by mutual consent.
In this regard, the Deputy Manager, Lead Bank Manager, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and bank officials present in the meeting were asked to place as many pending cases with banks in this Lok Adalat as possible, so that they can be resolved promptly and properly by mutual consent. Along with this, it was also asked to make the general public as aware as possible about the Lok Adalat.
