Una, August 3: Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has appealed to the district's citizens to cooperate with the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) conducted by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India. He informed that this survey is being carried out in selected rural and urban areas of the district from July 2026 to December 2026.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the survey work would be conducted door-to-door by employees of the District Statistical Office, Una, using a tablet-based application in accordance with the prescribed format. Essential information regarding employment, unemployment, and the labour force will be collected during the survey.
He noted that the data obtained from the survey would play a crucial role in assessing the district's socio-economic status, as well as in formulating and effectively implementing development-oriented schemes. He urged citizens to provide correct, accurate, and factual information to the survey team so that the collected data proves highly useful in the public interest.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that all information collected during the survey would be kept strictly confidential and used solely for statistical purposes.
Jatin Lal also urged all government officials and employees in the district to extend necessary cooperation to the survey teams within their respective jurisdictions, ensuring the successful and timely completion of this important survey.
