Ambala, January 14:- On the directions of the Superintendent of Police, Ambala, a special educational tour was organized today for the children who regularly study at the Sardar Patel Library at Police Lines. During this tour, the children were taken to the World Book Fair held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The main objective of this tour was to encourage self-study among the children and introduce them to the changing world of knowledge and science.
On reaching the fair, the children saw the vast collection of informative books displayed by various national and international publishers. They showed great enthusiasm and love for books related to science, history, literature and competitive exams.
The Ambala SP said that such events promote the mental development of the children and provide them with practical experience along with book knowledge. In the fair, the children not only saw the books of their choice but also interacted with the authors and publishers to understand the importance of books.
Siddharth, Ankit and Rahul, who accompanied him on this occasion, said that physical books have their own importance even in the digital age and this fair has further motivated them to read. Library in-charge, woman head constable Manisha and other members of the police administration were also present during this visit.
