Patiala, September 7:- The stories of great revolutionary incarnations, gurus and warriors in India inspire children with enthusiasm, courage and confidence and encourage them to become true helping friends of humanity. These views were expressed by Principal Mrs. Sarla, Punjab Police ASI Ram Saran and Chief Trainer of the First Aid Safety Health Awareness Mission, Mr. Kaka Ram Verma, while honouring the winners of the inter-school speech competition held at Veer Haqiqat Rai Model Senior Secondary School by presenting them with prizes.
The children shared their views on the great deeds of Lord Shri Krishna, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who endured hardships, difficulties and troubles and carried out great works without caring about their own rights for the protection, progress and prosperity of their country, society and humanity.
The children were given detailed information about the sacrifices, renunciation and struggle-filled lives of these great revolutionary warriors as well as those made by the parents and elders of the children. The children’s performances were judged by Khushi Jindal and Ravneet Kaur, teachers of Punjab College of Education.
The children were explained that the purpose of life should be to strive for the protection, prosperity and progress of one’s family, parents, country, humanity and environment, rather than ruining one’s future through drugs, crimes, diseases, accidents, stress and troubles in pursuit of one’s own happiness, comforts, desires and wishes.
