Chandigarh, December 10:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini has appealed to the doctors to end their strike and return to their respective workplaces immediately so that the common public does not have to face any inconvenience.
The Chief Minister was addressing the media after releasing compensation to farmers here today.
He said that the doctors had mainly four demands, out of which three demands have been accepted by the government. He said that the Finance Department has issued a notification on August 16, 2024 on the demand for the formation of a specialized cadre of doctors. Similarly, a notification has also been issued on October 25, 2024 on the demand for providing travel allowance on going out of hospital duty.
Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the government has put a stop to the demand of not doing direct recruitment of SMO for the time being. The Chief Minister said that the prevailing arrangements in other states in this regard are being studied and the direct recruitment of SMO in the state will remain suspended till the report comes. Their fourth demand, change in the ACP structure, has not been accepted for the time being.
The Chief Minister appealed to the doctors to stay away from any kind of politics. He said that there has been continuous improvement in government hospitals and the trend of the people of the state has also moved towards government health services. For this, he also congratulated the doctors.
On the question regarding the reduction in area after verification on the e-Shatipurti portal, the Chief Minister clarified that at the time of opening the portal, there was continuous rain and waterlogging in many districts. As the water receded, there was no actual damage to the paddy crop at many places, while the farmers had registered the damage on the portal based on initial concerns.
To another question asked regarding the suspension of Patwaris due to irregularities in the e-Shatipurti portal, the Chief Minister said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide compensation to farmers for damage to their crops due to natural calamities and this work is being done continuously by the government. He said that irregularities have come to light on the part of the Patwaris at some places. This method was the thinking of the Congress regime, but now there is no place for such irregularities.
In response to another question, the Chief Minister said that the government had regularly cleaned the drains due to which the farmers' crops suffered relatively less damage during the monsoon.
On this occasion, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana, Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department Dr. Sumita Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary Town and Country Planning AK Singh, Special Secretary Revenue and Disaster Management Department Prabhjot Singh, Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Yashwal, Director General of Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department Mr. Partha Gupta, Additional Director (Administration) Mrs. Varsha Khangwal, Chief Minister Media Secretary Praveen Atre, Director of Agriculture Department Raj Narayan Kaushik and other officials were present.
